Living Donor Diabetes Transplant

This is old news, but still very promising. The technique involves using live cells from the islets of langerhans by using a living, familial donor. Not sure whether this solution will be applicable to large numbers of donors but given the alternative, I'm hopeful.

Subway - Python on Rails

One to watch in the ever growing python web framework list - subway - an implementation of some ideas borrowed from ruby on rails. It's simplicity (post-install) and implementation of CRUD code generation look really promising. Now if I could just find time to...

I Got The Gig

I had auditioned with Uptown Rhythm and Brass recently since their current drummer is leaving the band. I got the call last night and they asked me to join the band! Mark your calendars, we'll be playing the Hard Rock at Station Square on March 19, 2005 and The Brick House in Butler on April 23, 2005. I'm excited to be playing with a great band. It should be an interesting year. :)
